摘要
This paper calculated the technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency, scale efficiency, input redundancy and super efficiency of steel industry chain of Hebei province and the other six provinces based on the panel data from 2001 to 2009 by DEA. What's more, we used Malmquist index to analyze the total factor productivity dynamically. The results showed that the technical efficiency of steel industry chain of Hebei province was increasing gradually. In comparison, the contribution of the pure technical efficiency was larger than the scale efficiency. Under the condition of invariable in output, we found the input congestion was another problem. In 2008, the super efficiency was the highest. However, the effect of technical progress was unstable, it assumed fluctuant position. The steel industry chain of Hebei province should quicken the technical progress, optimize industrial structure, avoid pursuing scale expansion madly, enhance industry concentration and reduce the input redundant in order to improve the overall efficiency.
