The development of malignant esophagorespiratory fistulae are a life-threatening complication and can lead to a rapid deterioration in a patient's quality of life. Aspiration of esophageal content into the bronchial tree often causes severe pneumonia, Airway and esophageal stenting is the only way to seal the fistulae. We analyzed our experiences with single and double stenting in 13 cases of esophagorespiratory fistulae in patients.
