摘要
Advances in nanotechnology have provided a number of new materials with diverse mechanical properties which can be used in acoustics and vibration applications. The molecular behavior of these nanomaterial composites may have a significant influence on their absorption of shock and impact excitation. In this paper, a mechanical characterization of a passive viscoelastic damper with the inclusion of several nanostructures is presented. The materials have been characterized by dynamical mechanical analysis (DMA) and their dynamic stiffness according to ISO 9052. It is concluded that the nanostructured materials have good properties to reduce floor impact noise with the advantage of reduced thickness and density.
