摘要
Some results of the oil sorbent research undertaken at the Department of General and Physical Chemistry of the National Mineral Resources University (Mining University) are under consideration. The main purpose of our work is to find significant patterns of adsorption process and then analyze it in terms of Physical Chemistry. Thus we expect to obtain the main principles of selection of materials applied for the manufacture of oil sorbent and ways to improve its properties. The present paper contains some results obtained with polyurethane foam-based adsorbents. The crude oil adsorption by adsorbents from polyurethane foam synthesized at temperatures of 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 degrees C was under investigation. The activation energy of the process is calculated by the use of the Arrhenius equation from the apparent reaction rate determined. It was established the activation energy decrease with increasing the temperature above 315.46 K. Kinetic curves of adsorption of crude oil on the adsorbents under consideration description of the study and used methods.
