New technologies and market pressures are forcing pharmaceutical companies tcp become knowledge led. Building such a business relies on an effective partnership between research information science and technology groups and the scientific community. Sustainable integration strategies using component-based development and robust, extensible and scalable integration architectures can deliver immediate solutions and create long-term benefits for both groups.
