Industrial Product Service Systems (IPS2) is defined as "an integrated industrial product and service offering that delivers value in use" [9]. Compared to single physical products or services IPS2 are characterized by a very high degree of dynamic changes not only during their planning but throughout their entire life cycle. These changes have to be managed, tracked and documented by a change management process and supported by a change management system. As IPS2 changes and change processes are very difficult to plan during the IPS2 development phase, existing static and deterministic change management solutions are not appropriate to be used for IPS2. This paper describes the concept of an adaptive change management for IPS2. This concept allows for appropriate redesigning, adaptation and execution of change processes of IPS2 throughout its entire life cycle to carry out an IPS2 change most efficiently with regard to time and costs. The development of this concept is based on a goal-oriented process modeling method that defines a business process by using loosely coupled intelligent agents. These agents are coupled during the process execution, in real time and depending on the main process issues. The developed concept has been prototypically implemented and validated by means of a case study. The concept presented in this paper has been developed in the research project Transregio 29 "Industrial Product-Service Systems Dynamic Interdependency of Product and Service in the Production Area".
