Review and New Progresses on High Performance Strategic Alliance Formation

Strategic alliance performance problem is the focus of academic attention. The extant researches took an emphasis on strategic alliance performance evaluation, ignoring the mechanism of high performance strategic alliance formation. According to relevant literatures about the origin of high performance alliance, this paper built a process framework which contained Classical theories and their new progresses. This framework made a systematic exposition of strategic alliance formation and was useful for other scholars to do their further studies. On the basis of all above, this paper put forwards the prospect for future research.
