COUPLING AND COORDINATION BETWEEN TOURISM ECONOMY AND ECOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT OF FOREST PARKS IN SICHUAN PROVINCE

Forest park tours are a newly-developed travel mode, this transformation has special meaning for the construction of an eco-culture and the upgrading of tourism industry. Referring to research data and reference literatures, this paper selected several indexes for two systems, the tourism economy system and the eco-environment system, and established a Coupling and coordination (C&C) model to evaluate the coordinated development of the two. With forest park tours in Sichuan province of China as an example, this paper analysed the coupling process of the two systems, and the results showed that, between 2012 and 2019, the evaluation level of comprehensive development of the two systems rose over the time, and there were constructive interactions between the two, their coupling and coordination were improving and becoming more active during the study period. Judging based on the C&C degree, the relationship between the two systems of forest parks in Sichuan had experienced a process from uncoordinated state to coordinated state, and the development levels of the two grew closer with the passing of time, which indicated that by reasonably developing the resource of forest parks, a balance between economic benefits and environmental protection could be achieved.
