摘要
Some features of microstructure and texture development during annealing in Ti-25Al-10Nb-3V-1Mo sheet, in which the microstructure was composed of hexagonal alpha(2) phase and beta phase were investigated. The result shows that texture of alpha(2) phase is mainly {<(11)over bar 24>} [<11(2)over bar 1>], and beta phase is {111} [uvw] before and after annealing. The structures transformed into stable state by annealing, i.e. beta phase transformed into alpha(2) phase at temperature 850 degrees C or 950 degrees C, or alpha(2) phase transformed into beta phase at temperature 1 050 degrees C. Meanwhile, at phase took shape of equal-axial structure. During annealing, recrystallization was almost not found and so recovery was the principal procedure. alpha(2) phase was tendentiously distributed around grain boundary of beta phase in which a higher boundary energy should exist.
