This paper discusses a hypothetical model for Venusian noctilucent clouds, based on the minicomet hypothesis and the analogy of the: altitude distribution of temperature in the atmospheres of Venus at altitudes of 50-150 km and of earth at altitudes of 0-100 km. Experimental data are presented that con the existence of noctilucent clouds in che atmosphere of Venus. (C) 1999 The Optical Society of America. [S1070-9762(99)01107-0].
