How Does Executives' Educational Background Influence Innovation Intensity in Entrepreneurial Firms? - Based on a Moderated Mediating Model

摘要
Based on the panel data from 2013 to 2015 of listed companies in Chinese GEM, the paper constructs a mediation model with adjustment, and makes a hierarchical regression to examine the influence mechanism of executives' educational background on innovation intensity in entrepreneurial firm. The conclusions indicate that highly educated executives has a significant positive effect on innovation intensity, risk appetite plays a part of intermediary role in the process of executives' educational background influencing enterprise innovation intensity. Meanwhile, the intermediary role is negatively regulated by the age of the executives.
