摘要：
The technical experts responsible for providing estimates of oil and natural gas reserves. In 1978 the UK's proven and probable oil reserves amounted to 2030 million tonnes. To the end of 1998, total UK oil production has been 2200 million tonnes. The 1999 estimates of remaining proven plus probable plus possible reserves are 2015 million tonnes. The situation with natural gas in similar. Details of the 1978 and 1999 estimates are included in Tables 1 to 4 with further speculate estimates included in Table 5.
