摘要
Glassy systems x CdI2 - (100-x) (2 Ag2O - 1 V2O5), 5 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 20 have been prepared and X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry. Frequency dependent complex impedance had been measured from 100 Hz to 100 kHz for various compositions at different temperatures. The observed frequency dependent conductivity could Be attributed to the Johnscher's power law dependence. Complex permittivity epsilon* and complex modulus M double dagger have been studied for x = 20 mole% CdI2 at different temperatures. DC conductivity at room temperature (303 K) for the above system with 20 mole% CdI2 is found to be 1.26 x 10(-3) S/cm. The dielectric loss epsilon'' shows 1/omega dependence on frequency. The modulus spectra have shown a long toil in the low frequency region and a tendency to peak at higher frequencies. IR spectroscopy studies on these glasses indicate that the oxyanion network is unaffected by the addition of CdI2. Transport number of the mobile species has been determined by the e.m.f. method. The above transport and structural studies indicate the presence of AgT clusters which contribute to high Ag+ ion conductivity.
