Studying the recovery of magnesium from serpentinite with a hydrochloric acid solution

摘要
Laboratory studies of the efficiency of the leaching of magnesium from serpentinite with a hydrochloric acid solution depending on the initial material coarseness, the acid concentration, the temperature, the time, and the stirring intensity were performed. The temperature was revealed to be the most significant factor. Its increase from 40 to 80A degrees C with a leaching time of 4 h, a stirring speed of similar to 500 rpm, and an acid concentration of 18% increased the recovery of magnesium by a factor of 2.0-2.5. Pore diffusion was established to be the rate-controlling stage of the process.
