摘要
The study on the decomposition of mixed VOCs has significance value for that the exhaust gas from manufactory is usually mixture of kinds of VOCs. This experiment chose four kinds of VOCs (acetone, benzene, tetrachloroethylene and m-xylene) as the treatment objects to study the decomposition characteristics of mixed VOCs by the bipolar pulsed DBD (bipolar pulsed power introduced into dielectric barrier discharge reactor). The results indicated that this bipolar pulsed DBD system could effectively decompose the mixed VOCs and the energy efficiency increased greatly compared with single-compound. On the other hand, the decomposition characteristics of mixed components were different from single-compound because of the interaction effect in the mixture. In addition, when the capacitance of the pulse capacitor was at an appropriate range, the DBD reactor could be injected more effective energy, higher level energetic electrons and active particles which could enhance the removal efficiency of the mixed VOCs. A higher discharge length also could increase the removal efficiency of mixed VOCs for that it could enhance the input power and the residence time of mixed VOCs in the discharge region*.
