摘要
Observations on the vertical distribution of the Orchid bees were made in a riparian forest associated with the system of Mata-Mata lagoons (Meta-Colombia). We evaluated the understory (1.8 m), the medium stratum, between the canopy and understory (12-16 m), and canopy (18-25 m). A total of 33 males belogning to five species of Eulaema and Euglossa were captured using Cineol in fall traps for Euglossini. Eulaema nigrita and Euglossa intersecta were the most abundant species and were captured in all strata. In general, there was not any significant difference in the diversity, abundance, and richness of these bees among strata.
