Electronic Management In Construction Projects

This study deals with an important topic of modern management, namely the use of information technology and computer or so-called electronic management and its use in construction projects, which has reflected positively on construction projects, although some people are still using the old methods. So it is important to motivate them about the importance and benefits of using technology in the projects. The relevant information and data have been collected in two stages, the first stage is the theoretical framework that discussed the concepts of electronic management, construction project, and the use of electronic management in construction projects. The second stage consisted of an open questionnaire which has been distributed to experienced engineers and contractors. The first paragraph of the questionnaire included the personal information of the respondents, and the second paragraph included several questions such as whether the electronic management is actually used in construction projects. The large percentage of the answers was positive. Another question was "At what stage of the project, electronic management is used". Most of the responses confirmed that it is used at all stages of the construction project, as well as the most important programs are used. Also, additional questions were asked in this study like the benefits of using these programs and their impact on quality, cost and time. Finally the obstacles and barriers that may prevent using electronic management in construction projects.
