摘要
This research presents an innovative training project developed during the academic year 2016-2017 at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO, Spain), aimed at integrating transcreation skills in an undergraduate translator training context: the TeCreaTe project. This paper defines transcreation as a new service vis-a-vis other services such as translation and/or localisation. The main intercultural challenges transcreation poses for translator trainees are analysed and illustrated, on a brief-based approach. Responding effectively to market changes and opening up new employment opportunities are demanding goals. The TeCreaTe project has positively contributed to the development of participants' key translation-related transferable and specific skills thanks to the inclusion of simulated transcreation projects.
