摘要
The physics of high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) image formation and electron diffraction of single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) in a polymer matrix was investigated theoretically on the basis of the multislice method. The effect of the nanocomposite thickness on both image contrast and typical electron diffraction reflections of the nanofillers was explored. The implications of the results on the experimental applicability to study dispersion, chirality and diameter of nanofillers are discussed. (c) 2012 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim
