摘要
New technologies are increasingly applied to the educational field thanks to the creation of different cybernetic supports and programs that allow instant or deferred communication between teachers and students. This has meant the emergence of online or distance modalities within universities as an option for those who do not always have the possibility to invest their time in the study of a career. This article is based on finding the differences between the distance and face-to-face modalities. Variables are analyzed, such as the opinion of professors and students; attendance at virtual or face-to-face presentations; how is the process in terms of the delivery of work or tasks; if there is a difference in the final grades; or how the student-teacher feedback is, all in a qualitative and quantitative way according to the indicator, and establishing these variables as criteria to evaluate the educational performance of each one of them. Another factor that has been analyzed in this study is whether there is a difference in the evaluative criteria at the institutional level in both modalities due to the inherent characteristics within each of them. It has also been taken into account what factors students have considered to choose one modality or another and if this has had an influence on their performance and development throughout the course. To this end, students and professors of the Universidad Tecnologica Indoamerica in Law have been interviewed, both in face-to-face and distance learning. The results provide different perspectives according to one modality or another in which both advantages and disadvantages can be found.
