摘要
The 2009 presidential elections forever changed the face of politics in Iran. What were at first protests against the election's results led to become demonstrations defying many fundamentals on which the Islamic Republic system of Iran is based. This movement, which is called the green movement, uses online communities like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube for news coverage and organization. Studying these communities in order to understand the structure and organization of the green movement is crucial because it provides an insight into anthropological and sociological characteristics of modern social movements. Social network analysis is a perfect tool for studying these concepts. In this paper, the prominent features of the social network related to the Green Movement are derived and analyzed.
