摘要
Pyramidal NiO nanostructures have been prepared via a solid-state thermal decomposition reaction. In the synthesis of NiO nanostructures, a [Ni(phen)2]2+ complex was employed as a novel precursor in solid-state thermal decomposition process at air at 500 degrees C. The products were characterized by elementary analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy. Synthesized nickel oxide microstructures have a cubic phase with average size of 56nm via nanoparticles that exists on the surface of the pyramidal microstructure. The present method is both simple and low-cost, which makes it feasible for scale-up production of NiO nanostructures.
