Laparoscopic Prostatectomy for Prostate Cancer: Continued Role in Urology 125 Gurdarshan S. Sandhu, Kenneth G. Nepple, Youssef S. Tanagho, and Gerald L. Andriole The purpose of this article is to provide an update on the current literature evaluating outcomes with laparoscopic prostatectomy. The reported perioperative, oncologic, and functional outcomes with this approach are reviewed and comparisons are made to the open and robotic-assisted approaches.
