摘要
Alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) has been considered for a long time a stress-responsive gene, but renewed interest in this marker arose when it was found to be involved in organ development. The VvADH2 gene is one of the ripening-related genes and its expression increases from the onset of ripening (veraison) until fruit maturity. Little information is available on the promoters from Vitis vinifera and in particular factors that regulate expression of non-climacteric ripening genes. This study was conducted to gain more insight into the regulatory mechanisms involved in the control of VvADH2 promoter activity.
