摘要
As human-centered computing, cloud computing and widely existence of mobile devices are becoming rising trends in current Internet. All three aspects should be seriously considered and deeply implanted in the fundamental design of future Internet architecture. XIA (eXpressive Internet Architecture) is one of three FIA (Future Internet Architecture) projects funded by US NSF. As a clean-slate network architecture, XIA has some novel features such as evolvability, flexible routing, and intrinsic security. However, XIA has no effective method to support VM live migration and device mobility, which is the key technology to achieve seamless service migration between subnets of various data centers. This paper proposes a rendezvous agent-based VM migration support mechanism, which aims to achieve fast connection re-establishment between VM and correspondent node and lower service downtime after live migration. Furthermore, an experimental network mobility support mechanism is introduced to explore solutions to VLAN migration scenario.
