Professional Training of Specialists in an Open Information Space

摘要
An open information space provides a wide range of tools to provide high-quality training and/or retraining of specialists by the means of distance learning. The most widely used distance learning technologies are virtual educational resources. Among them are Massive Open Online Courses, as well as various platforms and web applications allowing development of electronic educational resources. Massive Open Online Courses are currently the most popular tools for distance education. Electronic educational platforms and web applications that contain educational and methodological materials are the complementary tools for traditional learning, or a part of distance education. Distance learning technologies allow not only to ensure a high level of education, but also to provide professional training, retraining of specialists or improve their level of professionalism without necessity to leave the working place.
