摘要
Five species of Licmophora were recorded in the hypersaline Mar Menor coastal lagoon. A detailed electron microscopy study of L. proboscidea, L. debilis, L. tennis and L. flabellata is presented as well as data on their relative abundance in the epiphytic diatom community. Wide morphological variability was observed in large specimens with a high number of slits in multicissura being assigned to Licmophora sp., three different morphs are described. The ecological range of the species considered must be widened to include their presence in hypersaline waters.
