摘要：
A combination of iodic acid with ammonium dichromate in the presence of wet SO2 was used as an efficient oxidizing agent for the transformation of benzyl alcohols to the corresponding aldehydes and ketones in n-hexane or without a solvent at room temperature with excellent yields.
