NEW CHALLENGES IN THE MANAGEMENT OF UNIVERSITY EDUCATION IN RUSSIA

Russian university education is in the active phase of development when decisions to update the management of traditional educational organizations have already been taken or are being taken by the federal government. Much can be expected in a positive as well as in a negative aspect even from the abolition of one ministry and the creation of two on their basis within the separation of functions and objects of management: school education has separated from university education and science. This study shows that the country's universities are facing new challenges in management. It is proved by the examples of the Russian Federation federal government latest decisions in the field of education management, proposals received in this regard from university rectors, experts and professionals. What are these challenges, how are they overcome, and what are the current and distant explicit and hidden contradictions that exist here? We assume that not only the Russian universities but also the international academic community can be interested in the process described by us in this paper.
