摘要
The cross-cultural communication has become one of the common phenomena of the mutual communication between countries. The process of the cultural communication requires that the two sides of the communication be proficient in the languages, cultures and thinking of each other. On the language theory, the most basic is to grasp and use the words. But due to the cultural differences, the lack of the semantics in the translation thus comes into being. Through some examples, the author of this paper explores the phenomenon of the lack of the semantics in the translation from the perspective of the intercultural communication, to attract the readers' in-depth understandings of this phenomenon. Translation is the comparison, collision, fusion and reference of two cultures. From the cross-cultural perspective, translation is a dual communicative activity. On the one hand, the translator should communicate with the original author with the identity of the readers, and whether he can succeed depends on whether the knowledge and experience of the translator himself on the cultures of the source language have reached or can reach to the maximum the level of the ideal readers. On the other hand, the translator should also serve as the author, to communicate with the readers of the target language, and the success depends on whether the forecast of the translator on the first knowledge and experience of the readers of the translated texts is accurate, which also directly affects his selection of the strategies in the practical translation. With the needs of the social development, the trend of the translation across the national boundaries is becoming more and more obvious, and the necessity of the cross-cultural communication becomes more and more prominent. To achieve the appropriateness, flexibility and acceptability of the translation, the translator must have a deep understanding of both the source and the target language, and this kind of the understanding represents that the translator must have the unique judgment and selectivity in the translation. The foreign cultures through this bridge of the translation can make the cultures of the target language have more vitality and flexibility, and can enrich the vocabularies and expressions of the target language. The difference in the translation contributes to the formation of the target language and the identification of the self cultural identity. However, from the perspective of the intercultural communication, the absence of the semantic meanings occurs from time to time, and the author of this paper will carry out the preliminary study and discussion.
