Hydrogen separation in gasification gas streams by asymmetric polymer hollow fiber membranes

摘要：
The separation of simulated gasification product gaseous mixtures is examined in a polyimide hollow fiber membrane unit. Experimental results indicate that effective separation and recovery of highly permeating gases is possible even in a single stage membrane unit and at moderate operating conditions. The operation performance of polymer membranes is also validated by means of a new mathematical model. Experimental results and model predictions are generally in a good agreement.
