摘要
An investigation was conducted in HSLA-65 on how post-weld impact toughness was affected by FSW process parameters. Charpy V-notch (CVN) impact tests of weld center and heat-affected zone (HAZ) were evaluated. CVN results of weld center showed increased transition temperature and increased upper shelf absorbed energies above base metal. Results from CVN testing of weld HAZ showed the transition temperature to be at or below base metal transition temperature.
