摘要
Excited states of the odd-odd nucleus Tb-158 have been studied via the Sm-154(Li-7 ,3n) Tb-158 reaction at a beam energy of 27 MeV. The new level scheme of Tb-158 involving a positive parity rotational band is established up to excitation energy similar to 2.3 MeV and spin similar to 17h. By comparing with the rotational bands in the neighboring nuclei Tb-157 and Gd-157, the configuration was tentatively assigned as pi d(5/2) circle times vi(13/2), and the phenomenon of signature inversion is discussed.
