The morphology and chaetotaxy of the three larval instars of the genus Limnebius are described and illustrated following the setal pattern of Limnebius cordobanus d'Orchymont, whose morphology is sufficiently representative of the genus. This is the first complete study of larval chaetotaxy for a genus of Hydraenidae.
