摘要
Three years ago the Internet was regarded as playground for computer-crazy people. Despite the consolidation stage of the New Economy the Internet has become an arena of competition for performance, communication and transaction. This resulted in a commercial level which generates competition advantages, not primarily through physically increased output, but through establishment of central information platforms. Virtual market places or portals represent those platforms in an ideally method and manner. They satisfy all facets of informational supply for the demand as well as they enable mediation of exchanging goods. It is most crucial for enterprises not to wait until market barriers for traders have disappeared. In contrast they should actively influence the development by entering important and company-specific business fields. The example farmpartner-tec proves that using traditional and new access ways is a positive and successful company concept. In the meantime an Internet presence is not only a question of image. It is moreover a question if and how successful new markets can be exploited.
