摘要
This paper deals with damping of inter-area oscillations using a series VSC-based FACTS controller - the SSSC. To handle the system uncertainties and imprecision, a robust damping control design based on Fuzzy Logic is developed. The tie line power is selected as the input signal and the output control signal is the modulation index of the series connected VSC while the phase angle of its injected voltage is always set at pi/2 with respect to a particular local voltage vector. Case studies are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the SSSC associated with the proposed control designs using the well-known software package PSCAD/EMTDC at the switch level.
