摘要
The aim of this study, realized on 500 adult cattles stunned with a penetrating captive bolt pistol. is to assess efficiency and quality of stunning in it large capacity slaughter. Percentage of cattle collapsed with a single shot was 93.2%. However, movements of limbs after the collapse and in the bleeding area were observed respectively in 43.8% and 46.2% of stunned cattles. and righting reflex in 24.6% of cases. Site of impact through the frontal bones significantly influences intensity of this movements (p<0.01). The targets localised in an area respectively 4 cut round. an 6 to 8 Cut round the middle of the forehead occur to he the more efficient to obtain the best quality in stunning.
