Construction Management and Construction Management Future Challenges and Trends

Construction Management has established itself as an inherent part of the education of civil engineers at universities and colleges. Furthermore it is evolving to an important and interdisciplinary research area, where technological and economic research questions alongside the whole life cycle of buildings und infrastructure facilities are being examined. The paper gives a classification of this discipline into teaching and research and describes some major future challenges and developments in coming years, which will influence this research area.
