THE PROFESSIONALS OF THE SPORT AND THE TEACHING -LEARNING PROCESS AT SCHOOL IN THE STAGE OF INITIATION OF BASKETBALL FROM THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION DIMENSION

The objective of this research is to determine the level of preparation of sports professionals on the basketball school sport initiation process from the Physical Education dimension in the province of Cienfuegos, to identify the future deficiencies of the initiation process of boys and girls in this sport in the province. To achieve the goals proposed with the study, the authors relied on theoretical and empirical methods but above all on statistics, for data processing, since the intentional sample was 15 basketball coaches working at the base, 7 managers who work in the provincial direction of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) in the province and 11 Physical Education teachers who have been linked to the basketball teaching process, to whom there were applied surveys, interviews and observation of the performance during the process. The result was the expected one; the level of preparation of sports professionals in the territory under study, on the process of basketball school sports initiation has a low behavior, which makes us to conclude that 48.5% of the sample used, with greater emphasis on professionals who work in Physical Education with a 72.7%.
