KARMEN, the Karlsruhe-Rutherford Medium Energy Neutrinoexperiment at the pulsed spallation neutron facility ISIS uses the beam stop neutrinos v(mu) and v(e), (v) over bar(mu) from pi(+) and mu(+) decay at rest to investigate neutrino-nuclear interactions in a high resolution 56t liquid scintillator calorimeter. Charged and neutral current interactions are simultaneously observed with spectroscopic quality. A highly sensitive search for neutrino oscillations v(mu) --> v(e) and (v) over bar(mu) --> (v) over bar(e) in appearance mode provides the most reliable limits on neutrino mixing of the first two neutrino generations. This report describes results based on data acquired from June 1990 to August 1995.
