摘要
In this paper, a rectangular waveguide and a nonraditive dielectric (NRD) waveguide, filled with anisotropic negative permittivity and permeability, are studied in detail. A general condition of the existence of TE and TM modes in these waveguides is derived. The unique characteristics of these waveguides are explored. Both fully- and partially-filled cases of rectangular waveguides are examined. Characteristics of NRD waveguides with anisotropic metamaterial cores are studied. (C) 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
