We report the synthesis of {[3-(biscarboxymethylaimino)-2-methoxy-5-methylphenyl]carboxymethylamino}acetic acid, which functions as a Zn2+ selective fluorescence probe (sensor). (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
