Encircled energy of Gaussian beams focused by a lens with spherical aberration

摘要
In this paper, we numerically calculate encircled energy of Gaussian beams focused by a lens with spherical aberration (SA), The numerical results show that the coefficient of SA affects both the focused li ht intensity and encircled energy significantly. The effect of SA on the M-2 factor of the focused beams is estimated numerically. It is shown that after passing the lens with SA, M-2 factor of the focused light beam becomes large.
