摘要
The paper assesses new ways of exploring the changing nature of work as an essential part of developing contemporary social stratification research. This combination was a key feature of the 'classical tradition' in economic sociology. Unfortunately, this has been lost in recent years and the paper provides examples of areas of work that urgently need greater research by sociologists
