STRATEGIC BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT IMPLEMENTATION WITHIN CHOSEN SPA FACILITY

摘要
The contribution is focused on the business process management (BPM) implementation within the chosen spa facility. The goal of the article is to examine specific conditions of business process management not only in studied company but also in spa industry. To gather relevant data respecting exploration research, the unstructured interview was performed with top management in the chosen large Czech spa facility. The core characteristics described by Level of implementation of process management methodology was used for identifying the level of BPM implementation. The results showed that the business process management implementation in examined spa facility is rather limited. The reasons for partial implementation are however rational. The major obstacles were perceived in limited possibilities in effective process measurement and excessive administrative load upon management. The article also presents the description of specific process conditions which spa facility has to face and the solutions which were implemented.
