摘要
Photovoltaic glass is a special glass with integrated solar cells, used to convert solar energy into electricity. The production of the flat glass used for that purpose presents special challenges regarding melting technology. One of the challenges is the significant low content of iron oxide (<100mg/kg), which affects the primary and secondary refining conditions, the chemistry of this primary and secondary refining, the radiation heat conductivity and the glass melt flow pattern in the melter tank. Specific conditions regarding production of that special glass in conventional glass melting furnaces will be discussed in detail.
