摘要
This paper reports the experimental results of 13 longitudinally reinforced concrete beams tested under a three-point loading setup. The main objective of the experimental testing is to study the effects of using epoxy-modified concrete on the shear behavior of longitudinally reinforced concrete beams. The second objective is to contribute to the experimental data available on shear behavior of beams with cube compressive strength of approximately 60 Wa. In nine of the 13 beams, 20% by weight of the cement was replaced with epoxy. The remaining four beams were made of conventional concrete to provide a basis of comparison for the performance of the other beams. The paper also compares the experimental results with the calculations of the ACI code, AASHTO LRFD Specifications, and the Canadian building code.
