摘要
In this paper we presant a method for incorporating behavioral aspects of IEEE TGn small scale fading channel models into packet level simulators like OPtimized Network Engineering Tool (OPNET) Modeler. Packet level behavioral aspects are abstracted through optimally designed Finite State Markov Chain (FSMC) which is constructed from sample domain IEEE TGn channel fading amplitude or fading power profiles We have validated accuracy of the modeled FSMC TGn channel through statistical autocorrelation function (ACF) measurements In addition, to capture the realistic propagation conditions of wireless environments in the simulation we have integrated floor plan driven path-Ices models from RF planner tools like iBwave along with the FSMC fading channel model. End-to-end network performance results are presented to highlight the need of such modeling technique to effectively capture the effects of small wale fading and path-loss models in packet level simulations
