摘要
Cutting fluid is an essential and basic part of manufacturing process especially in metal cutting works. It performs various functions such as friction reduction, heat curtailment, surface enhancement etc. In spite of several technical benefits, cutting fluids such as mineral oils, petroleum based fluids, synthetic fluids etc. contaminates the working environment including human health. Here the necessity arises for bio-friendly cutting fluids where research works arc in full swing. Natural cutting fluids considered to be highly eco-friendly and creates healthy workplace in the engineering industry. The current paper overview the prospects of biodegradable cutting fluids for manufacturing Processes.
