摘要
This paper presents an algorithm for enhanced position estimation for permanent-magnet (PM) machine drive working with low resolution Hall-Effect position sensors. The algorithm is based on a modified vector tracking observer structure with modified Hall-Effect sensors' output. The mechanical misalignment problem of the sensors is addresses and a correction mechanism is implemented to compensate for any position estimation errors based on a flux observer. A simulation model is used and experimental setup is built to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. Finally, Simulation and experimental results are shown to verify the operation of the proposed algorithms.
